Chhattisgarh: CRPF demolished arms factory and hideout of Naxalites

Sukma, December 22 (IANS). The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has achieved a major success in the anti-Naxal operation in Chhattisgarh. Acting on specific intelligence, 150 battalion CRPF launched Search and Cordon Operation (CASO) in Meenagatta village on Saturday. CRPF gave this information on Monday. During this operation led by Assistant Commandants Roshan Jha and Ajay Kumar under the direction of the Commandant, the security forces busted a large Naxalite hideout and a suspected gun factory amidst dense forests. During the operation, security forces recovered a large quantity of weapons, equipment and explosive materials. These include eight single shot guns, eight VHF sets, welding and cutting machines, large amount of material used to make IED, ANFO, Cordex, detonators, Naxalite uniform and Maoist literature. The recovery of a large quantity of weapons indicates that this hideout was the center of important activities of Naxalites in arms manufacturing and explosives preparation. This operation was carried out in challenging circumstances. Acting professionally amidst dense and inaccessible forests, the troops destroyed the hideout and safely returned to FOB Palaguda. Through this operation, the security forces foiled a major plan of the Naxalites. CRPF reiterated that it stands by its resolve to eradicate Naxalism before March 2026. Security forces believe that destroying weapons manufacturing and IED manufacturing bases will attack Naxal activities. –IANS PSK Share this story Tags
