ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister and leader of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif will make an important political announcement today (Monday) in Chakwal. He is visiting the city to offer his condolences to the bereaved family of member of Punjab Assembly late Chaudhry Muhammad Liaquat who passed away last month. Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for political affairs and spokesman of the PML-N Senator Dr Syed Asif Saeed Kirmani has announced that Nawaz Sharif will reach Chakwal in the afternoon. In the meanwhile sources told The News that Nawaz Sharif will also have meeting with the workers of the PML-N during his brief visit to the city where the by-elections are also being held next week on the seat fallen vacant due to demise of Chaudhry Liaquat. Interestingly the PTI held a public gathering on Saturday and it was addressed by Imran Khan who couldn?t pull handsome crowd on the occasion. The visit of Nawaz Sharif to Chakwal will help in strengthening the position of the PML-N further in the by-elections, the sources added.
