Shahbaz bars party workers from going to Islamabad
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has stopped the Pakistan Muslim League-N workers from reaching the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) on Saturday (today) when he appears before the joint investigation team (JIT).
He said the PML-N had always given credence to the supremacy of law and the Constitution. Also, the chief minister said people could **t be served with hollow slogans. Rather, one has to burn the midnight oil to serve the people. The CM an**unced that his life and death were for the people and as long as he was alive, he would continue serving the people. He said that baseless allegations of the opponents had ** value as the elements conspiring against development and prosperity of the country were indulging in politics of lies. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N government had put the country on the road to development and prosperity. The people are fully aware that who had selflessly served them and they also k**w who are the elements who put the interests of the country at stake. He said that defeated elements are trying to get support of baseless allegations to keep alive their residual politics. He said that the conscious people have always shown mirror to these elements through the power of their vote and they will again reject the elements indulging in negative politics during the general elections of 2018. Shahbaz Sharif said the PML-N government was pursuing the policy of composite development of both urban and rural areas. Talking to a delegation of PML-N workers, the chief minister said roads construction programme had emerged as a game-changer initiative for the rural eco**my.
