The US military made an airdrop of more than 7,000 halal meals near al-Asad Air Base in Iraq?s Anbar Province on October 27, according to the US Central Command. The food was to be delivered by Iraqi security forces to the Iraqi Albu Nimr tribe, who were forced to flee their homes due to advances by Islamic State militants.
