Pentagon says Islamic State fight has cost $424 million since Aug. 8
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon said on Tuesday that the cost of fighting Islamic State militants in Iraq and Syria has cost about 4 million since air strikes began on Aug. 8. Rear Admiral John Kirby, the Pentagon press secretary, said the conflict was costing an average of about $7.6 million per day. (Reporting by David Alexander)
