Insider: Liverpool FC stars were good sports
</p> THE Redsâ?? close-knit Spanish contingent is known for its love of Liverpool and the odd glass of sangria to remind the players of home. But surely theyâ??re not secretly a bunch of drunken vandals? Insider was understandably shocked to read in a national tabloid that a quartet of Spanish stars had supposedly gone on a champagne-fuelled rampage through city centre eaterie La Vina. But, it seems, not as shocked as the four were themselves. Because, far from â??boozing and daubing graffiti in the loosâ?*, it appears that teammates Torres, Alonso, Arbeloa and Reina were guilty of nothing more than a good natured night out and a souvenir on request. Our source explains: â??Far from behaving disgracefully, as has been suggested, they were actually totally courteous and polite all evening. â??They were in there toasting Alonso and Arbeloa leaving Liverpool and the general manager, Ignacio, asked if they would sign a graffiti wall which is near the entrance to the bathrooms in the restaurant. â??They kindly obliged and then spent the next few hours reminiscing and enjoying themselves with hardly any fuss. They ordered lots of speciality fish and chicken dishes, and had a few drinks, but there was no way they were drunk. In fact they were happy to get up and join in some flamenco dancing, but only at the insistence of other diners who were impressed at what good sports they were.â?* A spokesman for La Vina confirms: â??We respect their privacy and we like having them just because they are good customers.
