Star Wars? Harrison Ford weighs in on Rise of Skywalker Force ghost theory

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker‘s Harrison Ford has responded to the theory that his Han Solo cameo actually took the form of a Force ghost.

As fans of the franchise will know, Han was slain by his son Kylo Ren (portrayed by Adam Driver) in 2015’s The Force Awakens, but director JJ Abrams decided to bring him back for an emotional appearance in last year’s trilogy-closer.

“A Force ghost? I don’t know what a Force ghost is,” Ford confessed to USA Today.<em/>

“Don’t tell anyone. I’m not talking loud enough for your recorder. I have no (expletive) idea what a Force ghost is. And I don’t care!”

Well there you have it, the man doesn’t know or care. But to be fair, Han wasn’t exactly the most Force-sensitive character out there, so would it have made sense to place him in that realm anyway?

Elsewhere, Rise of Skywalker VFX artist Roger Guyett previously weighed in on the Jedi voices coming back to aid Rey in one of the movie’s big battles.<em/>

On the likes of Mace Windu, Yoda and Anakin Skywalker making their vocal return, he explained: “I think that in some ways to me, the voices are almost more powerful than the idea of actually visually seeing them.

“I think we talked about that at one stage. What I liked about that idea as it developed, was that you feel like you’re with Rey and you’re inside her head.”
