Hollyoaks 20th anniversary: Jennifer Metcalfe reveals her red carpet favourites
</p>Hollyoaksâ?? Jennifer Metcalfe has been picking up sexiest soap star plaudits ever since she joined the show as Mercedes McQueen back in 2006. The 32-year-old brunette has been a hot favourite on the red carpet too, keeping the paparazzi busy with a succession of show-stopping outfits at awards events. As the programme celebrates its 20th birthday, and Bradford-born Jen marks seven years in the cast, sheâ??s revealed a few of her favourites in the new All4 shorts series for Channel 4 online. We went out, we were on rose wine all night and I spilt a whole glass all down my myself and my dress. We didnâ??t have any white wine so I poured a bottle of prosecco down me and went to the toilets and stood under the drier to dry it off. â??I was actually getting away with it, it was a bit of a pinky colour but it was fine, I rocked it. When I got home I took off the dress and dumped it in a corner because I was a bit tipsy at that point and my friend knocked over the red wine we hadnâ??t drunk all over it. The day day I went to ASDA and got a wine-coloured dye but the cotton didnâ??t pick it up â??Now Iâ??m thinking I might get a felt tip and go over the white cotton, I really might do, so you might see it on the red carpet again!â?* Sexiest? </p>  Jennifer on the red carpet at the 2015 British Soap Awards (Image: آ© Joel Goodman) The silver lace fringed dress she wore to this yearâ??s British Soap Awards â??I got slated for this. When we went and were getting it designed, we put strategically placed lace in the nipple area but maybe we should have gone over it a bit more. When youâ??re cold in the showroom theyâ??re higher up but when youâ??re warm and relaxed they start peeking out the bottom! â??People did tweet about it and put links on to it but I donâ??t mind, as long as I feel amazing I donâ??t care.â?* Coolest? </p>  Jennifer attending the British Soap Awards in 2013 in Mancheste (Image: Getty Images) The Stella McCartney high-waisted black pants and Roberto Cavalli cream tuxedo jacket she wore to the Soap Awards in 2013. â??This is actually a better thing to buy for awards because you buy a dress and you donâ??t wear it again, whereas you can wear your black pants again. â??I wore them with the blazer as an outfit with nothing under the jacket. It was very plungy which isnâ??t really my thing, itâ??s normally tight stuff. â??We were dancing, as you do, and I really was going for it and I completely ripped the pants. I went into the toilets and Gemma Merna who played my sister Carmel brought out a needle and black cotton. Lucy from Hollyoaks said â??I used to do textiles, get them off!â?? So I was stood in the toilets, starkers from the waist down, while she stitched my pants.
