Arthur Wysocki is a pretty impressive guy. In fact, he’s the only person that CD Projekt RED has officially certified to make replica swords based on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The Only one – imagine that! What a truly remarkable testament to Wysocki’s skill and dedication to his craft.


Wysocki’s side business, the aptly-named Kaer Morhen Forge, has always Been a fairly lucrative then. Making replica weapons from a fantasy game – even one as popular as The Witcher 3 – is obviously fairly niche. However, as I’m sure you can imagine, people are willing to pay good money for Wysocki to craft a weapon.

If you’re interested in picking one up yourself, be prepared to fork out a serious amount though. Our Swordsmith crafts each weapon from scratch according to order, and can make anywhere between â?¬400 to â?¬900 per commission.


That’s about آ£330 to آ£760, With inscriptions, scabbards, and other optional bits and bobs costing extra on top of that.

Thanks to Netflix’s live-action adaptation of The Witcher elevating the franchise to new heights of popularity, the Swordsmith has Been inundated With requests from new fans eager to claim their own steel or silver. Well, technically it’s galvanized steel made to look like silver, but you get my point.


As reported by PCGamer, Wysocki received hundreds of Orders in the past week alone. To get it through it all will more than likely take him through to the end of the year, at least. Between The Witcher’s newfound popularity and Wysocki’s status as the Only certified Swordsmith around, I guess all this extra work was to be expected.


The Witcher features many scenes of bloody combatI suspect Wysocki currently has more than enough work to keep him busy until the next series of The Witcher rolls around. The Henry Cavill-fronted fantasy show is set to start filming at some point this month, and will apparently be even more “intense” that the first eight-episode run.


That’s according to showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich, who said that the new season would be a more focused beast than its predecessor, With less confusing hopping around between timelines and more of the three main characters (Geralt, Yen, and Ciri) occupying the same time and place.
