New ?It? Trailer Teases the Childhood Terrors to Come
 First published in 1986, Stephen King’s novel It was a massive, ambitious book, numbering more than 1,100 pages in its original edition. The story follows a group of misfit children who call themselves the “Losers Club,” detailing their adventures in the late 1950s battling against a vicious demonic being who takes the form of whatever they most fear, most often a nasty clown known as Pennywise. The novel also detailed what happen when Pennywise returns in the 1980s after the kids have grown up. The book was adapted into a two-episode series for television in 1990, with Tim Curry as a very memorable Pennywise. A film adaptation began development in 2009; director Andrأ©s Muschietti (Mama) came on board in July 2015, and the two-part project has moved steadily forward since then. The first part will focus on the so-called “Losers Club” and stars Bill Skarsgard (Netflix’s Hemlock Grove) as Pennywise. The young cast includes Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Finn Wolfhard, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Nicholas Hamilton Stephen King has already given his stamp of approval.
Now we’ve finally got our first taste of the terror to come. With Mama, Muschietti proved he could establish a complex layer of dread. He also elicited fine performances by young actors. The first teaser for It suggests that he has once again created a very creepy atmosphere and also drawn good performances from the young cast. We can’t wait to see more of Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise. If he can deliver on the promise that he shows in this teaser, the movie will be a terrifying experience.
