LAHORE: Islamabad United stunned Karachi Kings by five wickets in a nail-biting PSL-4 match played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium Wednesday night.Karachi Kings set Islamabad United a decent 169-run target to achieve which they surpassed in the final over. Asif Ali and PD Salt with their responsible innings of 70 and 46 runs respectively laid the path of victory in a match of fluctuating fortunes. Later Shadab Khan (11) and Faheem Ashraf (8) achieved the target. Earlier opening the Islamabad innings, L. Ronchi added useful 21-ball 26 runs, laced with three fours and a six. Asif in his quick-fire innings faced 38 balls and also hit five fours and six sixes. Salt on the other hand hit six boundaries and faced 38 balls. Umar Khan took two wickets while Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir and Usman Shinwari shared one wicket each.Babar Azam played a sheet-anchor role in developing beautifully knitted Karachi Kings innings. The onus turned on him particularly after Ingram was gone.Islamabad United decision to bowl first after winning the toss backfired as the Kings top order hit boundaries all over the ground. Babar top scored for Kings with 68 runs off 50 balls — 40 off those coming off 10 boundaries.One-down LS Livingstone added a blistering knock of 56 off 31, with five fours and four sixes.And both Azam and Livingstone together put 78 runs for the second wicket.
