With DC’s Titans airing its finale episode today, DC Universe is already moving ahead with its second live-action TV series, Doom Patrol. A new Teaser trailer for the comic book superhero show has been released, which also provides the premiere date of the 13-episode season.
The Doom Patrol Teaser provides us with our First look at the awkward heroes as they gather for a photograph. While we’ve already seen Matt Bomer’s Negative Man, Brendan Fraser’s Robotman, and April Bowlby’s Elasti-Woman in Titans, it’s the First time audiences get to see Joivan Wade as Cyborg, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, and Timothy Dalton as Dr Niles Caulder/The Chief.
The Doom Patrol’s members each suffered horrible accidents that gave them superhuman abilities — but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose through The Chief, who brought them together to investigate the Weirdest phenomena in existence — and to protect Earth from what they find. Part support group, part superhero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of super-powered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Picking up after the events of Titans, Doom Patrol will find these reluctant heroes in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse, but with a warning that is hard to ignore: their lives will never, ever be the same.
While the Teaser only gives us a brief glimpse into their personalities, we can see more of Doom Patrol when the series releases on February 15, 2019.
