In keeping with Jamaica being marketed as a hub for gastronomy, it was announced on Wednesday that Kingston will host the inaugural Jamaica Rum Festival. The Jamaica Rum Festival, presented by Appleton Estate in partnership with the Jamaica Tourist Board and the Tourism Enhancement Fund, will take place on March 9 and 10 at Hope Gardens.
The two-day affair will include complimentary tasting and food pairing workshops; live music, an art and craft market; games, a Jamaican food court and of course, lots of rum. Tickets grant attendees, who must be 18 years and older, access to the Festival between 11:00 am and 9:00 pm to enjoy a number of activities. Food and drink will be on sale. Presold tickets are $1,500 while weekend passes are $2,500. Presold tickets are currently available at both Ribbiz Ultra Lounge (Barbican) and Ocean Longe (Victoria Pier), Murray’s Chillin’ (Clarendon) and The Pub (Mayfair Hotel). * </p> Source link More |
