The result was a comedy milestone. The Blazing Saddles*flatulence scene — absolutely shocking for its day — was gross to some, hilarious to others and memorable for all. Its dominance in the taboo-bodily-function-laughs department was never truly tested until the hair gel scene in 1998's There's Something About Mary, and that held the scepter until the food poisoning hilarity in 2011's Bridesmaids.
