These Are the 3 Shades You Need For Emilia Clarke's Critics' Choice Awards Nude Lip
 The perfect Nude lip: at first it seems like an easy task, but much like finding your ideal red lipstick, it's pretty hard to master. With no "nude" shade being the same from one person to the next, sometimes it takes more than one lip product to create the hue, and for Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke, it took three. Emilia's Critics' Choice Awards look was understated but very chic, all thanks to a sophisticated updo, strong cat eye, and beige lip color. Jillian Dempsey is the woman behind Emilia's beautiful red carpet looks, and she told POPSUGAR how to mix Shades to create this red-carpet-worthy lip color. Jillian mixed Laura Mercier Velour Extreme Lipsticks ($28) in Ruthless, Vibe, and Respect, layering the colors and mixing on her hand before applying on the lips. The creamy matte formula meant the Shades melted together to create a seamless look, but one that stayed put throughout the award show all night. Image Source: Jillian Dempsey Other key products used included Laura Mercier Foundation Primer ($38) and Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Foundation ($48) for dewy, radiant skin. Another top tip of Jillian's is to always apply lip balm as a first step (she likes to use Smith's Rosebud Salve ($7)). After applying the rest of the makeup, she blots the balm to take off any excess before applying the lip color. This way a matte lip won't cause lips to dry out quickly.
