When I woke up this morning after a wonderful NYE, I got to reflecting on how 2017 had been for me, and my mind turned, as it so often does, to the horses. I can't say that any of it went to plan! :DLast January, I envisaged a year spent slowly bringing on Mary, and just starting to up her workload as we went into her five year old year. By April, it felt like we were really starting to get somewhere, and then suddenly, out of the blue, the realisation that we likely had a baby on the way dawned. That baby ended up being one of two amazing things that happened to me last year, and although one of them turned out to be very bittersweet, Flower has been a shining light throughout. She was, undoubtedly, the very best part of my 2017, and I can't wait to see what the years to come have in store for us!
