Turns out, Reddit makes for a pretty good lost and found.

On Thursday night, a Reddit user posted on the Nintendo Switch subreddit, saying that they found a Nintendo Switch and contacted Nintendo on what to do next, asking fellow Redditors what other measures could be taken.

An hour and 15 minutes later, a Reddit user posted on the Nintendo Switch subreddit, saying that they left their Nintendo Switch on a bus at the Frankfurt International Airport in Germany.

It turns out the the two people were talking about the same Switch.
