The Delhi Police organized a mega function to promote 'self defence training' for women and girls at the Thayagaraj Stadium. Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal was the chief guest at the event that saw participation of over 7,000 school girls trained in martial arts. A short documentary film wherein school girls enacted real life scenes of stalking, purse snatching, pick-pocketing and harassment was shown at the event. After the documentary, the stage was electrified by stellar live demonstrations of self-defence techniques by different groups of trainers and their trainees.
