Ishaq Dar declared absconder by accountability court
  ISLAMABAD: The accountability court on Monday declared former finance minster Ishaq Dar an absconder after he repeatedly failed to appear before the court in corruption cases. The court also ordered Dar to submit surety bonds within three days, adding that in case of failure, the authorities would seize his assets. As the hearing began, Dar's counsel submitted his client's fresh medical reports in court and pleaded not to declare his client a proclaimed absconder. However, NAB special prosecutor Imran Shafique opposed the plea saying that the reports presented before the court differ from each other. Judge Mohammad Bashir had reserved the order last week which was announced today. Ishaq Dar has been in London for some time now, where he is said to be undergoing medical treatment. He is accused of amassing assets beyond his known sources of income.
