LAHORE: Leader of Tehreek-i-Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYRA) Ashraf Asif Jalali on late Friday announced to clear Lahore?s Mall Road and called off* protest across the city after signing an agreement with Punjab government to end 7-day long sit in.

Ashraf Jalali called off seven-day-long sit-in that has been hampering daily life in the city after signing an agreement with the government, asking his followers and supporters to disperse.

Soon after the announcement the sit-in protesters have left the Mall Road and other areas of the city where sit-ins were taking place. Whereas, the administration cleared roads from containers and other hurdles to restore the traffic.


Jalali demanded to make public the names of those responsible for the controversial amendment to the Finality of Prophethood declartion, in the Elections Act 2017.


According to the agreement, the report of the Raja Zafarul Haq led prob committee will be published by December 20, 2017.


As per agreement, religious scholars* *will be included in the panel assigned to decide changes in the textbook board.*


He claimed* that the government had provided him a list of those who were martyred,* injured and arrested during the protests across the country.

While leaving the matter of Rana Sanaullah's resignation upon the renowned* religious figure Khawajha Hameeduddin Sialvi, He added that* a committee will be formed with regard to the resignation of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.

He further said that Punjab Law Minister should have given his* explanation* regarding his controversial statement coming* to the protest camp instead of* *seating* abroad.

While addressing* his supporters and followers, Ashraf Jalali said that an agreement has been reached with the government, on* *which, the government* *will implement within a month, adding that if* it fails to meet the demands* they* will recall the* protest.
