Police to take Karachi operation to logical end: IGP
KARACHI: Sindh?s Police department has been carrying out an extensive operation against criminals in Karachi with dedication and bravery, and the ongoing operation would be taken to its logical end successfully.
This was stated by Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) A D Khowaja in an address to 45 under-training assistant superintendents of Police at the National Police Academy on Thursday. IGP Khowaja briefed the cops on efforts made to improve the provincial Police force?s efficiency such as the setting up of facilitation centres at the district level, establishment of reporting centres at Police stations, upgrade of the ?15 Madadgar? helpline and the new Sindh IGP Complaint Centre, 9110, at the Central Police Office (CPO). He said these efforts were vital to improve policing and to restore the public?s trust in the Police force. DIGP Headquarters Muneer Sheikh briefed the ASPs on steps taken to improve the working of the Special Branch, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), investigation and prosecution departments.
