Rakesh Asthana to stay as CBI special director, says top court

Rakesh Asthana, the officer whose appointment to a top post in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was challenged in a petition as "illegal and arbitrary", will stay special director of the investigating agency, the Supreme court ruled today, rejecting the request.
