MANILA, Philippines ? "Jolina" (international name: Pakhar) has intensified into a tropical storm as it barrels toward the north of Central Luzon. The tropical storm is expected to bring an estimated moderate to heavy rainfall amount within its 400 km diameter. PAGASA warned of moderate to occasionally heavy rains over most parts of Luzon beginning today. "Jolina" packs maximum sustained winds of up to 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph and is expected to further intensify before making landfall over Isabela-Aurora area tonight. It is forecast to move west-northwest at 19 kph. The state weather bureau advised against sea travel over the seaboard of northern Luzon and the eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon. In its 5 a.m. severe weather bulletin, PAGASA said the center of the tropical storm was estimated at 300 km east-southeast of Casiguran, Aurora at 4 a.m. today.
