Ruining eco**my through sit-ins enmity with nation: Shahbaz
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday said the approach of the elements looting the hard-earned money of the poor nation and Ruining the eco**my through sit-ins was tantamount to enmity with the nation.
He said the people would never let the designs of defeated political elements aiming at promoting chaos in the country succeed and hold them accountable.Talking to a delegation of the ruling party’s ******-bearers, he described public service as the main focus of the PML-N government and said agitation was the disappointed elements’ fate. “It is unbecoming of the politicians who are totally soaked in corruption to speak about honesty. The elements getting their loans worth billions of rupees written-off on political basis have drenched the blood of the poor. The people very well k**w about those making international records of corruption during their tenures and the ones who have set new records of transparency and quality in the development projects,” said the chief minister. “Transparency, speedy and quality completion of projects is the hallmark of the PML-N government and even its opponents can**t prove corruption of a single penny in the development projects,” he added. He **ted that national resources worth billions of rupees had been saved for the first time through transparency under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.“Former corrupt rulers deprived the poor nation of their rights by plundering the national kitty and the tragedy is that a national criminal who robbed the Nandipur Power Project is **w delivering lectures on corruption. The people whose corruption has been proved in courts’ verdicts want to hide themselves behind the furore of accountability,” he said. He said the sit-in group and the former corrupt rulers had left ** stone unturned to push the country back and added that the corrupt people, who made the nation enslaved to darkness, must be brought to justice. The chief minister said the opponents had indulged in baseless allegations and mendacity but the character of the PML-N leadership was neat and clean with a fully satisfied conscience. “The negative politics can**t compete with the politics of service, honesty and transparency. “The elements indulging in lies will **t succeed,” he promised. He said U-turns and discrepancies of the politician setting world record of mendacity had been fully exposed before the nation, adding that the sit-in party did **thing except indulging in anarchy and confrontation during the last four years. Shahbaz said baseless accusations and fabrication depicted the state of moral degradation of the political elements totally rejected by the people.He said the elements involved in spate of allegations and lies had played havoc with their province and lost a golden opportunity of public service.
