Disney's 50-year old Pirates of the Caribbean ride — the one that inspired a seemingly unstoppable film franchise — is getting a makeover that'll drag at least a tiny portion of the attraction from the past into our more culturally-aware present.

The company an**unced in its Disney Parks Blog on Thursday that it's overhauling the Pirates of the Caribbean rides in Paris, Florida, and California. The new version of the ride, which features a cruise through an animatronic-pirate-infested Spanish town, will include a heavy dose of Pirates the Caribbean the movie (including Captain Barbossa) and, most **tably, get rid of a "Wench Auction" scene where Pirates bid for local women.
