Punjab court awards death sentence to dog
 BHAKKAR: A local court in Punjab’s Bhakkar district on Tuesday handed down death sentence to a pet dog after the animal bit and injured a child, some 65 kilometers from here.The punishment was awarded by Assistant Commissioner in Kallur Kot area of the district, prompting owner of the animal to approach Additional Deputy Commissioner against the ruling. Jameel said the decision was against the **rms of justice since he had already spent a week in a prison after family of the injured child lodged a case against him.
