The TV deities are smiling on American Gods — Starz has given a Season 2 renewal to Bryan Fuller and Michael Green's modern-day fable two weeks after the show premiered.

Based on Neil Gaiman's beloved **vel of the same name, American Gods has earned more than five million multiplatform viewers for its first two episodes to date, according to Starz, with the first episode setting a premiere record for the network in live-plus 7 ratings with 1.6 million viewers.
