Former MPA disqualified for a year for using unfair means in exams

LAHORE: A preliminary appeal committee of Punjab University (PU) has upheld a decision of a disciplinary committee of disqualifying a Former parliamentarian for a year for using unfair means in the examination.

Shamaila Rana, a Former MPA from PML-N (2008-2013), had sent a representation to the PU vice chancellor against the orders of the disciplinary committee. The committee had disqualified her for a period of one year for using unfair means in LLB Part-I First Annual Examination 2016 under Roll **. 2417.

The VC had referred her appeal to the preliminary appeal committee which decided to uphold the decision of the disciplinary committee. A PU official, when contacted, confirmed the development saying the orders were issued in February this year. He said the candidate had used unfair means in the exams and was disqualified for a year as per the rules.
