CTD kills 10 Jamaat-ul-Ahrar terrorists in Lahore
 LAHORE: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab claimed to have killed 10 terrorists of a banned outfit in Lahore late on Friday night.The CTD said the terrorists killed in the ‘encounter’ at Manawan area were affiliated to Jammat-ul-Ahrar and were involved in Mall Road suicide attack. Days after the attack, CTD personnel had apprehended alleged facilitator Anwarul Haq. The law enforcers, on Haq's pointation had also arrested his other accomplices. The sources said the CTD was taking the arrested facilitators to Manawan for recovery of explosives when their accomplices ambushed the team. In the retaliatory fire, 10 terrorists were killed including the facilitators of the attack, they added. Facilitators Anwarul Haq and Atta-ul-Rehman were among the militants gunned down in the shootout, the officials added. Other two terrorists have been identified as Imam Shah and Irfan Khan. At least 13 people were martyred and more than 80 others wounded in the deadly suicide blast outside the Punjab Assembly near Mall Road in February this year.
