   NEW YORK — David Letterman is coming back to TV, and he is as sunny as ever. Well, kind of. The former Late Show host — succeeded by Stephen Colbert last year on CBS — will host an episode of National Geographic's *Years of Living Dangerously. The new season of the climate change docu****** debuts Oct. 30. "I'm in ** position to editorialize about solar power or any kind of renewable power," Letterman said in the promo. "I've created, excuse the expression, kind of a love affair with this. Think about the coal-fired, dangerous, *****-belching generating plants, and then you look at this and it's friendly. There's something very appealing about this, and it's smooth.
