PCB planning to bid farewell to Shahid Afridi
LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has planned to bid farewell to allrounder Shahid Afridi and he is likely to be included in the squad for the Twenty20 International ****** against the West Indies as the 16th player.
It has been decided to give the star cricketer a chance of retiring in a dignified manner. Afridi had already said that he would retire from international cricket after the World T20. “Boom Boom” Afridi, 36, has ruled Pakistan cricket for the last two decades. He stepped down as captain after the World T20 in India in which Pakistan failed to reach the semi-finals last April and since than has been ig**red by the selectors. Afridi who had retired from Test cricket in 2010 while leading the team in England and also retired from ODIs after the last World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, currently only plays T20 cricket.
