Pemra issues **tice to private TV for sacking reporter
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) on Tuesday issued a **tice to the management of Jaag TV for dismissing its reporter without following the legal procedure.
The Pemra has asked the concerned TV channel to file a reply by September 6. The **tice said that one reporter of their channel Muhammad Naeem has complained that he was intimidated and forced to tender his resignation which was against the law. The **tice said that under Pemra Act 2002 amended in 2007 Section 26 (3-A) the Pemra can summon any of its licence holders in issues related to operational matters especially if job of a person in question.
