HMC treats 204,936 patients at emergency unit

PESHAWAR: In the first half of the current year, the Hayatabad Medical Complex (Medical Teaching Institute) provided Out-Patient Department (OPD) facilities to 342,065 patients and treated 204,936 people in the casualty/emergency unit.

According to the data released by HMC on Friday, the hospital in its round-the-clock emergency services provided treatment to 204,936 people and in July to 39,521 patients totalling (from Jan to July) to 244,457.

As per the data, the hospital OPD services were also provided to 342,065 patients from January to June 2016, and in July to 43,954 sick people, totalling 386,019 from January to July 2016. The patients, who were in need of diag**sis and lab test, were also accommodated. The HMC **t only caters to the need of the local populace but also accommodate and provide facilities to the people from tribal areas, Afghan refugees and even those referred from other hospitals.
