ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Information Secretary Naeemul Haq on Friday said that unilateral bid by the federal government to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure would **t be accepted come what may.
In a statement issued here, he said the federal government was trying to amend the law with an objective of protecting those involved in Model Town tragedy and mass killings, which would be sheer injustice, dishonesty and cruelty. He reminded the federal government that maintaining law and order was basic responsibility of the provincial governments and hence the Centre should desist from interfering in provincial matters. If at all, the federal government, he contended, wanted to amend the law, it should approach the provinces, asserting that job of the government was **t to protect those involved in killings of in**cent people but to take on such elements. For this, he insisted that the police department would have to be strengthened and proposed that at least for this purpose, a police order on the pattern of the one, adopted recently in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be brought about. أكثر... ??????? ??????: PTI opposes govt?s move to amend Code of Criminal Procedure || ??????: ahlam1399 || ??????: اسم منتداك
