Aitzaz should avoid company of undemocratic people: Pervaiz
Says those who installed banners have given their phone numbers
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information Pervaiz Rashid on Tuesday advised the PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan to avoid the company of **n-democratic people. Talking to media persons after attending the Namaz-e-Janaza of prominent broadcaster Agha Nasir, he said Aitzaz is **wadays in the grip of **n-serious people, adding that he should adopt democratic way. He was reacting to Aitzaz’s statement that the government was behind displaying banners urging Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif to stage a coup. He said allegations on the government on the issue of banners are absolutely wrong. He said the banners also contained the phone numbers and the TV channels had run the interviews of those who installed these banners. The minister said operation Zarb-e-Azb has been continuing effectively and it is too early to discuss the extension in the Army Chief’s tenure. He said those calling upon the Army Chief to take over the country are fools. “Such people are fools and do **t want good for the country,” he said. To a query, he said the PML-N is **t utilising official machinery in Azad Jammu and Kashmir to win coming polls. He said the PML-N would win polls on its performance. He said that the government was also informing the world about the Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir. Earlier, the minister said Agha Nasir’s contribution in the field of art culture and especially in establishing Pakistan Television would be remembered for times to come. He said that Agha Nasir was talented and has left behind many pupils who would carry his mission of promoting art and culture forward.
