Important meetings held in Karachi after fresh wave of violence
KARACHI: after the fresh wave of violence threatened peace in the city again, the country's civil and military leadership convened in the metropolis to tackle the issue.
Army chief General Raheel Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and DG ISI General Rizwan Akhtar as well as other senior officials conducted a meeting at the Corps headquarters in Karachi on Sunday. Earlier today, General Raheel Sharif had also visited the Rangers headquarters and hailed sacrifices of the rangers personnel. Karachi's murder rate fell by 50 percent after the paramilitary Rangers, who answer to the Ministry of Interior and the army, launched a sweeping *****down in 2014 against suspected militants and criminals.
