KARACHI: after the fresh wave of violence threatened peace in the city again, the country's civil and military leadership convened in the metropolis to tackle the issue.
Army chief General Raheel Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and DG ISI General Rizwan Akhtar as well as other senior officials conducted a meeting at the Corps headquarters in Karachi on Sunday. General Raheel Sharif told commanders to leave '** stone unturned' in finding out the killers who gunned down prominent qawwal Amjad Sabri in Karachi on Wednesday and also the perpetrators who had kidnapped the son of Justice Sajjad Ali Shah. The killing of Amjad Sabri, one of the most popular singers of "qawwali" Sufi devotional music, on Wednesday was the latest in a high-profile ****** of attacks in Karachi, a megacity of 20 million plagued by political, ethnic and sectarian violence. Earlier today, General Raheel Sharif had also visited the Rangers headquarters and hailed sacrifices of the rangers personnel. Karachi's murder rate fell by 50 percent after the paramilitary Rangers, who answer to the Ministry of Interior and the army, launched a sweeping *****down in 2014 against suspected militants and criminals. Political activists have accused the Rangers of heavy-handed tactics including summary executions and targeting political parties. أكثر... ??????? ??????: Important meetings held in Karachi after fresh wave of violence || ??????: ahlam1399 || ??????: اسم منتداك
