Minister backs border fence with Afghanistan, Iran
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastgir Khan has said that Pakistan will have to fence its borders with Afghanistan and Iran in a bid to end strained relationship with neighbours and for promoting bilateral trade on a permanent basis.
“We will have to install fence in the bordering areas of Afghanistan as well as Iran in order to promote trade on a long term basis,” the Minister said while talking to a select group of reporters at an Iftar-dinner organised by him in ho**ur of journalists here on Tuesday. The Ministry of Commerce, he said, refused to allow the import of cotton from India.
