Managers of 28 fast food outlets arrested
Unhygienic conditions
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar district administration on Monday arrested Managers of 28 famous restaurants and fast food outlets on charges of selling expired food and unhygienic conditions of kitchens. Additional Assistant Commissioner Imran Khan and Assistant Commissioner University Town Mughees Sanaullah paid surprise visits to different restaurants and fast food outlets and checked their food and kitchens. They arrested Managers of famous fast food eatery Chief Burger, Dam Pukh Khorak, Students’ Restaurant, Khorak Mahal, Khyber Friends, Ahmad Jan Lazeeza Tikka Shop and Chaman Ice Cream. The officials of district administration said they had asked Managers of these restaurants and outlets several times to improve their standards.They said most of them ig**red their warning about improving food and hygienic condition. The officials said they were shocked over recovering expired food items from Chief Burger, which were stored and being served to customers.In a**ther incident, AAC Imran Khan arrested 20 people involved in encroachments in Board Bazaar. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Peshawar Riaz Khan Mahsud an**unced to launch operation against encroachments on Charsadda Road from today, Tuesday.
