Ukrainian illustrator and tattoo artist Rita Zolotukhina*bases many of her "botanical fingerprint" designs on actual plants — flowers, leaves, even little ferns. To create each tattoo, she presses the live plant, dipped in ink, on her customer's body, then tattoos the skin based on its imprint.
“We don’t k**w the definitive look when we start, just the colors, the mood and basic shape," she told Illusion.*"It’s my favorite way to make tattoos, and I think the most natural."
