Afeni Shakur, mother of Tupac, dies at age 69
   Afeni Shakur, the activist mother of legendary rapper Tupac, has died. She was 69. Shakur reportedly passed on Monday night in her **rthern California home in Sausalito, due to possible cardiac arrest — according to the Marin County Sheriff's department, which tweeted the news out. They responded to a 911 call at 9:34 p.m. local time and took her to the hospital. She was later pro**unced dead at 10:28 p.m. SEE ALSO: Tupac biopic finds its star — and a very familiar Biggie Shakur was born Alice Faye Williams, but changed her name after joining the Black Panthers in the 1960s. She and fellow BP members were later*arrested on charges of plotting to blow up department stores and police stations.
