Singapore will spend $28 million on 2016's National Day parade
   Singapore — Singapore's annual National Day parade will cost it S$39.4 million ($28 million) this year, according to local reports. That's twice the cost of previous parades, and comes close to last year's huge 50th year milestone bonanza, which racked up a price tag of S$40.5 million ($28.8 million). Defence Minister Dr Ng Eng Hen spoke in Parliament on Monday and disclosed that previous years' parades cost between S$15.7 million ($11 million) and S$20.6 million ($14.7).
