The medical committee investigating the matter has reportedly completed its investigation and handed the case over to the prosecuting authority for further action. The doctor that had overseen the case had been banned from traveling by the Eastern Province health department. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Shaibani, director general of the Eastern Province health department, confirmed that a travel ban was in place for the supervisory doctor.
