Celebrities pay tribute on 26th anniversary of Hillsborough disaster

</p> Merseyside Celebrities have paid tribute to the 96 Liverpool FC fans who died at Hillsborough on the 26th anniversary of the disaster.

Stars took to social media to remember the victims of the 1989 tragedy at the Sheffield Wednesday ground.

Coleen Rooney wrote: â??JFT96. Thinking of all their family and friends today and always.â?*

Comedian John Bishop said: â??Itâ??s a beautiful morning as it was on this day in 1989 then the world changed forever.â?*

Liverpool model Danielle Lloyd posted a picture of the 96 names on her Instagram profile.

Everton fan and Atomic Kitten singer Liz McClarnon posted a picture of a red and blue shirt on Twitter, with the words â??Two clubs, one cityâ?* written on the shirt.

Former LFC player Michael Owen wrote: â??Thoughts today are with the 96, their families and all affected by the tragedy.â?*

Presenter and former footballer Gary Lineker wrote: â??#JFT96â?*

The Radio City tower was lit up in tribute to the 96 Liverpool FC fans who died at Hillsborough.

Most of the lights in the Radio City 96.7 display on the iconic tower were switched off last night leaving just the number 96 remaining.

A minuteâ??s silence will be held across Liverpool at 3.06pm – the time the match was stopped on April 15, 1989.
