The star couple posted photographs on their official Facebook and Instagram pages showing them by the seaside in the Wirral town.

Restaurants and cafes in the resort were packed with Merseysiders enjoying a day out in the sunshine â?? while others took advantage of the warm weather to have a picnic on New Brighton Dips.

On his Instagram page, footballer Wayne posted a picture with Kai and Klay, saying: â??Good day at New Brighton with the boysâ?*.

Fans on social media said they were shocked to see the couple in New Brighton â?? but praised them for posing for photos.
