In the novel The Paper Chase by John Osborn one of the most important characters was Professor Kingsfield. The setting was law school and the Professor was instrumental in teaching the young students to become good lawyers. The student's feelings were obviously no concern to Kingsfield as he sole focus is on providing the most value as possible as a teacher to his students. His lectures were so well planed and precise that they were able to finish the last page of the reading material during the last minute of class time which meant they never fell behind or got ahead of his planned schedule.
