The Upcoming Addams Family Movie Deserves More Attention
 The Addams Family 2019 FUNKO toysDirected by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, the cast will include Oscar Isaac as Gomez Addams, Charlize Theron as his wife Morticia, Chloأ« Grace Moretz as Wednesday, Finn Wolfhard as Pugsley, and Nick Kroll as Uncle Fester. The released synopsis indicates that the Family will have to endure a greedy reality-TV host while preparing for a major celebration.Itâ??s a project thatâ??s been in the pipeline as far back as 2010, with Tim Burton attached to direct a stop-motion version at one point. As with everything in Hollywood, though, plans changed and itâ??s now an altogether different project, with a new creative team at the helm. Considering the last time the fabled Family was on the big screen was 1993â??s Addams Family Values, this film has been a long time coming. Sure, there was the direct-to-DVD Addams Family Reunion and The New Addams Family TV show in 1998, but this is the first time in 26 years that the masters of macabre will appear in cinemas.  The weird thing is, thereâ??s zero hype for this movie. With seven months to go before its release, there hasnâ??t been a single trailer or much news about the production. All that was released was the announced cast and a divisive image of the animation (which, by the way, actually shares a lot of artistic similarities with the original comic strip). While The Addams Family franchise mightâ??ve lost some of its sheen in recent decades, it shouldnâ??t be relegated to the nostalgia bin just yet. Along with The Munsters, itâ??s one of the properties that inspired the whole horror comedy genreâ??both in print and on the screen. Itâ??s a pioneer and Deserves recognition for what it did, hence the baffling nature of the non-existent marketing for it.  In addition, look at that cast list. Itâ??s an award-winning group of actors, who would be the envy of any production. For years, Isaac was fancast as Gomez and itâ??s finally happeningâ??albeit in a different format. Then, you have Theron, Moretz, Wolfhard and even Bette Midler as Grandmama. Youâ??d struggle to find a better cast for even a live-action version of this film. As recently as last week, The Addams Family was moved back to its original release date of October 11, 2019. This signifies that everything is on track and it should drop as planned. That said, itâ??s worrying that thereâ??s hardly a whisper about it online. Itâ??s the Addams Family, for goodnessâ?? sake; they deserve a lot More Attention than whatâ??s out there at the moment.
