55. â??Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surferâ?* ![]() ![]() Just a nightmare. A total nightmare. There have been a numberآ*of bad superhero movies, but from the talking gas cloud the filmmakersآ*cast as Galactus to Jessica Albaâ??s dye job, this one transcends bad. 54. â??X-Men Origins: Wolverineâ?* ![]() ![]() A totally chaotic stir fry of nonsense that tells the story of how Wolverine got his claws. Features an early version of Deadpool (also played by Ryan Reynolds) whose mouth is stapled shut, which should tell you all you need to know about it. 53. â??Elektraâ?* ![]() ![]() That five minutes when they tried to turn Jennifer Garner into an action starآ*went about as well as it should have. 52. â??X-Men: The Last Standâ?* ![]() ![]() Just a total mess, incoherent from the word â??go.â?* After losing director of the first two X-Men films Bryan Singer to the first Superman reboot attempt, replacement Matthew Vaughn gave way to eventual director Brett Ratner, who might have killed off the superhero genre entirely were â??Spider-Manâ?* not blowing up the box office. 51. â??Fantastic Fourâ?* (2015) ![]() ![]() There could maybe have been a good movie in here somewhereآ*â?? the cast (Michael B Jordan, Miles Teller, Kate Mara) certainly warranted one. But this Frankenstein of a film is a behind-the-scenes horror story, and you can see it inآ*the totally disjointed final product. 50. â??Daredevilâ?* ![]() ![]() This was basically â??Early-2000s: The Movie,â?* with Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner, Colin Farrell and Michael Clark Duncan as the main players. The cherry on top of this turdآ*sundae was that damn Evanescence song. 49. â??Fantastic Fourâ?* (2005) ![]() ![]() Tim Storyâ??s first â??Fantastic Fourâ?* isآ*just sort of there, challenging you to remember it exists. With Chris Evans, who played the Human Torch here, going on to embody Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, that gets tougher every year. 48. â??The Punisherâ?* (2004) ![]() ![]() This is the Punisher as a straight revenge thriller, and itâ??s not bad. Thomas Jane performs admirably, but the whole thing is missing that extra something that would have elevated it beyond standard genre fare. Setting it in Tampa didnâ??t help. 47. â??Spider-Man 3â?* ![]() ![]() Maybe the bad outweighs the good here, but Emo Peter Parkerâ??s dance numberآ*remainsآ*one of the greatest single moments in any comic book movie, sorry, haters. 46. â??Howard the Duckâ?* ![]() ![]() A notorious flop at the box office and, yeah, itâ??s not exactly â??good.â?* But now, 30 years removed from its premiere, â??Howard the Duckâ?* is pretty fun as a relic of the â??80s. 45. â??The Punisherâ?* (1989) ![]() ![]() Dolph Lundgren and Louis Gossett Jr. star inآ*a low-rent â??80s grunge C-level classic. This oneâ??sآ*all novelty value. 44. â??Ghost Riderâ?* ![]() ![]() For a movie starring Nic Cage about a dude who rides a Harley and turns into a flaming skeleton, this is a surprisingly mundane movie. 43. â??The Amazing Spider-Manâ?* ![]() ![]() We may never figure out what went wrong with Marc Webbâ??s Spider-Man duology, but his choice of Andrew Garfield to play Peter Parker is still brilliant. It just sucks that this movie doesnâ??t really make any sense. 42. â??X-Menâ?* ![]() ![]() The beginning of the current wave of theatrical superhero movies, â??X-Menâ?* was kindآ*ofآ*a cheapie and it showed. Novel at the time, now it just comes off as unremarkable mid-budget action fare asآ*Fox was merelyآ*sticking its toe in the superhero waters. Timid. 41. â??The Incredible Hulkâ?* ![]() ![]() Itâ??s sometimes hard to remember that this one counts as part of the MCU, since it placedآ*Ed Norton in theآ*Dr. Banner role sinceآ*inhabited by Mark Ruffalo in the â??Avengersâ?* films. Itâ??s also hard to remember because itâ??s generally not memorable. 40. â??Thorâ?* ![]() ![]() The fantasy Marvel movie is directed by Kenneth Branagh, who covers the whole movie in canted angle shots and theatrical stylings. Itâ??s pretty boring, also, but at least it looks cool. 39. â??The Amazing Spider-Man 2â?* ![]() ![]() More of the same impossible-to-follow hack-nâ??-slash plotting from the previous movie, offset by Andrew Garfield continuing to be awesome and Jamie Foxx going way over the top as the big bad. 38. â??Thor: The Dark Worldâ?* ![]() ![]() â??The Dark World,â?* inآ*contrast to the first â??Thorâ?* movie, is certainly not boring. If anything, it suffersآ*the opposite problem, going soآ*hard and fast thatآ*it loses substance. 37. â??Blade: Trinityâ?* ![]() ![]() Starringآ*a pre-Deadpool Ryan Reynolds basically playing a vampire-slaying Deadpool, throwing out one-liners like his mamaâ??s life depended on it, this may not a â??goodâ?* movie, but it sure is fun. 36. â??X2: X-Men Unitedâ?* ![]() ![]() A big step up from the first â??X-Menâ?* both in production values and quality, itآ*still lacks much in the way of energy. Which is inexcusable when youâ??ve gotآ*Alan Cumming as the teleporting mutant Nightcrawler all over your movie. 35. â??Spider-Manâ?* ![]() ![]() Sam Raimiآ*trulyآ*assembled the prototypical superhero movie with this first entry in theآ*â??Spider-Manâ?* franchise, in 2002. Like â??X-Menâ?* before it, â??Spider-Manâ?* is a bit underwhelming today, but unlike â??X-Menâ?* it was proud of its nerd roots. 34. â??X-Men: Apocalypseâ?* ![]() ![]() Could have been a bizarre ironic summer classic if it were structured like a real movie and had any character development whatsoever. Instead itâ??s just a shot of visual adrenaline that Iâ??ll probably want to revisit at some point â?? but not when Iâ??m sober. 33. â??Avengers: Age of Ultronâ?* ![]() ![]() â??Ultronâ?* is frustrating for what it lacks â?? chiefly the feeling that itâ??s advancing the overall story arc of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But as with the first â??Avengersâ?* movie its weaknesses are balanced by pretty good character work. 32. â??The Avengersâ?* ![]() ![]() The story is a total mess, relying heavilyآ*on moviegoersâ??آ*memories of previousآ*MCU filmsآ*(if you didnâ??t remember or know coming in what the Tesseract was, hoo boy). And while the novelty of the Marvelâ??sآ*first big superhero team-up was irresistible, there are large chunks of this movie that feel like a better title would have been â??Toxic Masculinity Avengers.â?* Steve Rogers challenging Tony Stark to a fight? Come on, man. 31. â??Bladeâ?* ![]() ![]() Pure B-movie trash, which is fine because thatâ??s precisely what it aims for: bloody, crass, awesome. 30. â??Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeanceâ?* ![]() ![]() For the sequel, they tapped the â??Crankâ?* director duo known as Neveldine/Taylor. It was an inspired choice, because â??Spirit of Vengeanceâ?* was exactly as nutty as youâ??d hope a PG-13 comic book movie would be. Shame that it was apparently stressful enough to break up the tandem of Mark Neveldineآ*andآ*Brian Taylor. 29. â??Captain America: The First Avengerâ?* ![]() ![]() A lot of folks like to complain that all superhero Movies are the same. But this was actually a pretty good World War II movie, too. 28. â??Guardians of the Galaxyâ?* ![]() ![]() Plot-wise, it never really adds up to anything, but the strength of the cast and the bizarre world they explore more than make up for it. 27. â??Blade 2â?* ![]() ![]() Beloved nerd Guillermo del Toro took over for this one and ramped everything up to 11. More vampires, more blood, more people getting sliced up â?? and of course baddies whose jaws can split open and swallow a personâ??s head whole. 26. â??Big Hero 6â?* ![]() ![]() Disney Animation Studios made a Marvel movie, and itâ??s really sweet. Sure, itâ??s the kiddie version of Marvel, but that doesnâ??t prevent it from being a wholly satisfying experience. 25. â??Captain Marvelâ?* ![]() ![]() Itâ??s fine, but â??Captain Marvelâ?* feels like a movie from before Marvel Studios really hit its stride in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Right now itâ??s a movie that seems very much out of place. 24. â??Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2â?* ![]() ![]() An improvement on the first film, and an absolute delight from moment to moment â?? butآ*it never quite coalesces into a coherent whole becauseآ*so many subplots distract from the core story and rob it of its emotional impact. Would be a top 5 comic book movie if it had just reigned in the plot. 23. â??Iron Manâ?* ![]() ![]() It was Robert Downey Jr.â??s reemergence on the big screen, and heâ??s flawless in this origin story that takes Tony Stark from billionaire playboy weapons manufacturer to billionaire playboy other-things manufacturer. Itâ??s weirdly low key compared with the rest of the MCU, and it works even so. 22. â??Hulkâ?* ![]() ![]() In 2003 the modern wave of superhero Movies was still in its infancy, and Ang Leeآ*â??آ*still the best filmmaker to do a comic book movieآ*â??آ*got experimental with â??Hulk.â?* And what he made was an incredible melodrama with visual stylings meant to ape comic book panels. It didnâ??t sit well with audiences, but â??Hulkâ?* remains one of the most compelling and interesting Marvel Movies to date. 21. â??The Wolverineâ?* ![]() ![]() This was, like,آ*just a legitimately enjoyable melodramatic action movie. Sure, it turns into a video game boss battle by the end, but for most of its running timeآ*itâ??s just an actual movie. 20. â??Punisher: War Zoneâ?* ![]() ![]() Whereas the previous â??Punisherâ?* movie was melodramatic and contemplative, this one is just murderous. And itâ??sآ*awesome. 19. â??Venomâ?*آ* ![]() ![]() How can anybody resist the pull of Tom Hardy doing comedy? This movie knows exactly what itâ??s trying to be, and what itâ??s trying to be is dumb and fun and nothing else. And it is extremely fun. 18. â??X-Men: Days of Future Pastâ?* ![]() ![]() Its time travel logic is a bit iffy, but â??Days of Future Pastâ?* is still tremendously entertaining because, while epic, itâ??s not overly serious. As â??Back to the Futureâ?* taught us long ago, you can get away with a lot of logical leaps if you strikeآ*the right tone. 17. â??Iron Man 2â?* ![]() ![]() Gets a bad rap because itâ??s a huge mess, but I think itâ??s aged pretty well with its topic of corporate exploitation and Sam Rockwell delivering a spot-on performance as a Trump-esque weapons guy. 16. â??Deadpoolâ?* ![]() ![]() In the angsty and angry times we live in, â??Deadpoolâ?* is perfect. Aggressively violent and flippantly meanspirited, itâ??s the exact emotional release we needed. 15. â??X-Men: First Classâ?* ![]() ![]() The first â??X-Menâ?* movie that could beآ*described as â??fun.â?* Itâ??s basically two Movies crammed into one, story-wise, but director Matthew Vaughnâ??s touch is so breezy and enjoyable that it totally works anyway, thanks in large part to a brilliant cast that includes Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and James McAvoy. 14. â??Spider-Man: Homecomingâ?*آ* ![]() ![]() Not quite the best â??Spider-Manâ?* movie, but still an absolute delight, with a cast full of scene stealers. Michael Keaton as the Vulture makes for one of the best Marvel villains ever. 13. â??Deadpool 2â?*آ* ![]() ![]() While you may get whiplash from the â??Deadpoolâ?* sequelâ??s occasional very serious and emo scenes, the rest of the movie is thoroughly delightful, somehow managing to be even funnier â?? and more hilariously violent â?? than the original. 12. â??Ant-Manâ?* ![]() ![]() â??Ant-Manâ?* represented a first for the MCU by being a straight-up comedy. And itâ??s a very good one, with a cast thatâ??s perfectly suited for it. Aside from Paul Ruddآ*who plays Ant-Man himself, Michael Pena is the true standout as Scott Langâ??s best friend and former cellmate. 11. â??Ant-Man and the Waspâ?*آ* ![]() ![]() Itâ??s ever so slightly frustrating that this one doesnâ??t fully integrate into the â??Infinity Warâ?* situation, but even so itâ??s thoroughly a delight. Evangeline Lilly is so good at the Wasp that Iâ??m retroactively irritated that she didnâ??t don the suit in the previous â??Ant-Manâ?* movie. 10. â??Doctor Strangeâ?* ![]() ![]() If it werenâ??t hamstrung with all the requisite elements of an origin story, â??Doctor Strangeâ?* might have been the best Marvel movie ever. Thatâ??s the power of the astonishing visual imagination on display here. People love to talk about the nebulous concept of capturing some long lost childlike sense of wonder though the magic of cinema â?? â??Doctor Strangeâ?* isآ*one of the only Movies Iâ??ve watched as an adult that really accomplishes that. 9. â??Spider-Man 2â?* ![]() ![]() This is a movie that fully understands its main character and taps into what made him such a captivatingآ*figure for so long. Yeah, Peter Parkerâ??s a superhero, but heâ??s also a college kid working a minimum wage job to make rent while also taking university physics classes. Peter buckles under the pressure, something we can all relate to. 8. â??Iron Man 3â?* ![]() ![]() As far as Iâ??m concerned this isآ*the â??Iron Manâ?* movie. Somehow, Shane Black was able to infiltrate the MCU and make a legitimate Shane Black movie with all the wit and raw humanity youâ??d expect from him. It carries exactly the sort of authorial identity we should want all these Movies to have. 7. â??Thor: Ragnarokâ?* ![]() ![]() A thorough delight. This might be the most fun we had at the Movies in all of 2017, and so we canâ??t help but love it. 6. â??Captain America: Civil Warâ?* ![]() ![]() Multiply the two previous best Marvel Movies by one another and you get â??Civil War.â?* It packs the sort of emotional payoff all the disconnected Marvel Movies canâ??t really provide. And as an action filmآ*itâ??sآ*easily the best of the superhero genre. 5. â??Avengers: Infinity Warâ?*آ* ![]() ![]() You could certainly make the argument that â??Infinity Warâ?* does not really hold up on as a complete movie on its own, because it kinda begins with the second act. But I donâ??t care. The culmination of this ten-year shared universe experimentآ*should stand on the shoulders of the Movies that came before it. The fact that it packs such a profound emotional punch, however, is what really makes it work. 4. â??Black Pantherâ?*آ* ![]() ![]() Itâ??s held back a little by being saddled with standard â??origin movieâ?* issues â?? introducing audiences to the world of Wakanda isnâ??t a quick and easy task, and it could use an extra 15-20 minutes to flesh out the supporting characters â?? but still manages to be the most substantial superhero movie ever. Itâ??s kind of amazing that Disney let writer/director Ryan Coogler make this overt a political statement â?? itâ??s the most openly political mega-budget movie Iâ??ve ever seen . Also, while Iâ??m listing superlatives: Michael B Jordan delivers the best performance ever in a superhero movie. Good lord. 3. â??Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verseâ?*آ* ![]() ![]() The best superhero movies, and Movies in general, are the ones that are truly most human. And â??Spider-Verse,â?* despite being animated, despite the wacky cast of Spider-People, despite the outlandish premise, is as real as Movies get. 2. â??Loganâ?* ![]() ![]() James Mangoldâ??s small-scale western is a game changer for the entire superhero genre, daring to defy pretty much standard by which you expect these Movies to operate. Itâ??s just a great movie by any normal standard. Where â??Civil Warâ?* elevated the genre, â??Loganâ?* opts instead to beآ*something else entirely and weâ??re all the better for it. 1. â??Captain America: The Winter Soldierâ?* ![]() ![]() The Russo brothers, who made their entrance to the MCU directing â??Winter Soldierâ?* before taking the reigns on â??Civil Warâ?* and, eventually, 2018â??s â??Avengers: Infinity War,â?* really impressed with â??Winter Soldier.â?* Itâ??s a classic spy thriller with a superhero twist. And Robert Redford as the bad guy is a really nice touch. But what really pushes it to greatness is the way it justآ*gets it. It gets people. It gets the world. It pushes the idea that you gotta do what you gotta do even when you know itâ??s not gonna work out.آ* Itâ??s strangely morose, even, something you donâ??t generally expect from these things (angry, sure; sad, not so much). This movie is real. </p> Source link More ??????? ??????: All 55 Marvel Movies Ranked, Including ?Captain Marvel? || ??????: ahlam1399 || ??????: اسم منتداك
