SIALKOT: Shakirullah, the Pakistani inmate who was martyred in Indian jail, was laid to rest at his ancestral village Jessarwala in Daskaon Sunday with state honour.A large number of the people, including MNA Sahibzada Syed Iftikharul Hassan Shah, Provincial Minister for Environment Punjab Bao Muhammad Rizwan, MPAs Ch.Naveed Ashraf, Mian Zeeshan Rafiq, Sialkot Deputy Commissioner Dr.Syed Bilal Haider, Regional Police Officer (RPO) Gujranwala Tariq Abbas Qureshi, President PTI Central Punjab Umer Dar, traders, journalists, lawyers and students of local schools, colleges and universities attended his funeral prayer.Earlier, people accorded a rosy welcome to ambulance carrying Shakirullah''s coffin wrapped in Pakistani flag, upon its arrival at the graveyard for burial.They showered mounds of rose patels.On Saturday evening, Indian Border Security Force (BSF) handed over the body of Shakirullah to Pakistan authorities at Wahga Border Lahore. Hindu prisoners had stoned to death Shakirullah in Jaipur jail, India on February 20 after Pulwama incident.
