Derby champs join 2019 LGBA series (The Philippine Star) – February 11, 2019 – 12:00am MANILA, Philippines — The 2019 Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) Cocker of the Year series starts Feb. 15 at the Pasay City Cockpit with a big field of entries expected. Backed by Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000, the LGBA series’ first leg is a 7-cock Derby (Feb. 15, 18 and 22). Derby winners lead the cast, among them 2019 Pitmasters champ and cockfight idol Patrick Antonio, Jun Sevilla, Peping Cojuangco, Ormoc Joe, 2018 ‘Digmaan’ champ Rhona Bullecer, Gerry Escalona, Ren Castro, Emer Sumigad, 2018 NCA Stagfighters Ricky Magtuto, Willard Ty and Nick Crisostomo, Arman Santos, Honey Yu, Hector Magpantay. Recent World Slasher Cup grand finalist Paolo Mercado, Rey Magbuhos, Vic Bilangel, Emer Sumigad, Jervy Maglunob, Hermie Pagtalunan, Joel Ocsena, Mel Lim, Kenneth Liao, Buddy Robrigado, Jed Antonio, Jay Gonzales, Alex Aguirre, Pinggoy Lagumbay and Jeff Manaloto. The second round elims (3-cock) unfolds on Feb. 18 with 60 new entries and all finalists will advance to the 4-cock finals on Feb. 22.
