Huawei phones are about to get much better for games

Huawei will be upgrading its smartphones with a technology called GPU Turbo, which should significantly increase graphics performance while consuming far less energy, the company announced on Monday.*

GPU Turbo will come as part of an update to Huawei's EMUI software, which runs on top of Android, and it will start rolling out in August 2018.*

According to Huawei, GPU Turbo will improve graphics processing efficiency by up to 60 percent, while lowering power consumption by 30 percent.

The first phones to get the upgrade will be Huawei's flagships, the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate RS, the P20, and the P20 Pro. Other devices will follow from September to November.
